1. Park the ATV on a flat surface and turn off the engine. Disconnect the negative battery cable from the battery.

2. Remove the clutch cover on the top of the engine, usually secured with 4 or 6 bolts.

3. Pull the old drive belt from the pulleys. Inspect the drive belt for worn spots or fraying and replace as needed.

4. Place the new just below the belt guide and tensioner pulley.

5. Slide the belt through the driven and primary sheaves. Rotate the driven sheave with your hand to make sure the belt is seated correctly.

6. Place the belt onto the driven and primary sheaves while holding tension on the belt guide arm.

7. Rotate the tension arm counterclockwise until it clicks twice. This indicates the belt has been tensioned correctly.

8. Replace the clutch cover.

9. Reconnect the negative battery cable and start the ATV. Check for correct belt tension and enjoy the ride.
